This is the first of a series of hiking events that will be organized by the Green Café which will have the purpose of getting to know the Eindhoven region and getting to know each other. Thus, we will be visiting nearby places like Nuenen, Geldrop and Son en Breugel while engaging in discussions and connecting with your walking partners.
Whether you attended previous Green Café events and would like to keep engaging and build a community or you are a first-timer looking to connect with like-minded people and get to know the region better, this walk is for everyone!
This time we will make a walk to the south of Eindhoven of around 8 kms. We will start at Paviljoen Genneper Parken and walk to the Klotputten, which is a protected place where you can observe birds. Afterwards we will walk around the borders of the Gat van Waalre and come back to the Genneper Parken.
This walk will be guided by two Green Café team members who will also coordinate some activities to start the conversation.
Practicalities:
- Gathering time: 10:15. The walk starts at 10:30, so please be on time.
- Meeting point: We will meet at Antoon Coolenlaan 2a, outside the Paviljoen Genneper Parken. We’ll be waiting for you in the left entrance. There is enough space to park your car or bike here. But if you come by bus, take the one that goes to the HTC (407).
- Clothing: Please wear long pants, bring good walking shoes and appropriate jacket according to the weather. We will be outside for more than 2 hours. The walk will not be cancelled even if it’s raining.
- Extras: If you have, bring binoculars to observe birds. We might take a small break, so you can also bring some food like healthy snacks to share with the rest.
